Kidz of all ages love cars of all kindz. Cars represent freedom, self-expression and most of all, FUN. In garages, automotive workshops and customizing studios from Pasadena to Daytona, America’s love affair with the automobile continues, as car enthusiasts and gearheads do what we’ve done for decades – take one of the greatest machines ever invented and make it even greater. We soup it up, trick it out and in the process transform a utilitarian necessity into a thing of beauty, a work of art, a real RIDE. This uniquely American art form, this passion for expressing our individuality in chrome and paint, this universal love of cars, is the fuel that drives all of us full-throttle to a destination called FUN!  To contribute to the positive development of kidz. We will do this by providing a unique, Do-It-Yourself-TogetherTM experience where kidz from 6 to 106 are supported to successfully complete a series of satisfying and fun choices and tasks, resulting in a show-quality, one-of-a-kind creation they themselves designed and constructed: their RIDEMAKERZ® RIDE. Kidz will be proud of their personally customized RIDEZ, and because they created them, they will be proud of themselves. RIDEMAKERZ is about the joy and fun of building something great, something artistic, something unique and original. In a very real sense, that is exactly what young RIDEMAKERZ Guests - Customizers™ - are doing in their own lives. They are putting together the values and beliefs that will shape their character for the rest of their lives. At RIDEMAKERZ, we seek to provide a rich learning environment where kidz can reap the benefits of being exposed to important life principles in action, all the while experiencing that what they are really doing is playing, succeeding, and having a great time. We owe it to them, to our fellow RZ Crew Members, to our stakeholders, and to ourselves to join them in having as much fun as humanly possible!   The RIDEMAKERZ experience is specifically designed to: provide choice, unleash creativity, foster confidence, encourage collaboration, and instill a sense of community. These Core Valuez, what we call The Five C’z of RZ, are what our Guests — CustomizersTM — experience in every encounter with an RZ Crew Member, and what we as members of TEAM RZ live by every day, in every interaction, with every Guest and every cohort. They are built in to every RIDEMAKERZ RIDE, and they help shape what we do, how we act, and who we are.  To experience choices and options in life instills in us a sense of optimism and possibility. The first experience of entering a RIDEMAKERZ Customizing Shop is a sense of almost unlimited choice: body stylez, chassiz, soundz, treadz, wheelz, bumperz, spoilerz, tail pipez, paint jobz, and on and on. At each ZONE in the RZ SHOP, Customizers are able to make choices that express their own individuality. There are an almost infinite number of ways to construct a RIDEMAKERZ RIDE, which is why each creation is a one-of-a-kind expression that reflects each individuals' own unique style and personality.  At RZ, we believe that everyone is born creative and expressive. We seek to encourage that natural creative talent by providing our car customizing artists with a vast palette of beautifully designed high-quality parts and accessories with which to express their unique vision of their perfect fantasy vehicle, the RIDE of their dreamz. The RZ process is designed so that each and every Customizer experiences the sense of joyful self-expression that comes with having created something as unique, as individual, and as cool as their own personal RIDE.  Does success build confidence, or does confidence build success? The answer, of course, is yes. This cycle of success and confidence is a critical part of the RIDEMAKERZ experience. At every step in the process, Customizers are given both the guidance and the freedom they need to ensure they will succeed, while knowing they are responsible for that success. Whether they are being guided by a parent, grandparent, relative or friend, or by one of our trained RZ Crew Members, our motto is simple: show them how, let them go, and be there to support them along the way. So whether Customizers are first timers or experts, it is part of our mission that they walk out of the RZ SHOP with a cool, customized, one-of-a-kind RIDE, and a healthy sense of accomplishment and completion to build upon for the rest of their lives.  We describe the RIDEMAKERZ process as a Do-It-Yourself-Together experience. That's because, in addition to knowing that they themselves created their customized RIDE, Customizers also realize they could not have done it without the assistance and support of others. The word ‘collaborate’ means literally ‘to work together’. The experience of working side-by-side with other Customizers, having the guidance and ‘coaching’ of caretakers and RZ Crew Members, brings a sense of cooperative achievement that is an important aspect of the development of healthy, happy kidz. So while Customizers get to experience the fun that comes with healthy competition and individual creative expression, they also learn another valuable life lesson: together we can do what we cannot do alone.  During the time they spend with us at the RIDEMAKERZ Customizing Shop, Customizers can learn and make the connection between individual initiative and creativity, and collaboration and cooperation. In a very real sense, the RZ experience would be incomplete if we did not extend that sense of connection to the community in which we live, and beyond, to the planet that we all share. RZ SHOPS are an integral part of their local communities, offering special events, promotions and contests, as well as financial support for worthwhile charities, that are all designed to bring people together, to create that sense of common unity – community – and to be a gathering place where youngsters and their families can make connections and stay connected to friends old and new. Connections strengthen communities. Great communities contribute to the development of great kidz. And vice versa. |
