At RIDEMAKERZ, our mission is to have great fun making RIDEZ and fueling good, and it wouldn't be fun if it wasn't safe. In fact, we believe that knowing our products are safe enhances the fun for parents and children alike. The entire RIDEMAKERZ experience was designed with safety in mind, from the layout of the SHOP to the tools used to make our RIDEZ. Recently, there has been a great deal of concern about materials and products being imported from China, and we understand. While RIDEMAKERZ products are made in China, we have several comprehensive measures in place to both address these concerns and ensure safety.
RIDEMAKERZ works with only one manufacturer in China to manufacture our RIDEZ. Working with one manufacturer enables us to implement maximum quality controls. Every product we make conforms to both U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) and American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) requirements and specifications for toys.
RIDEMAKERZ products are tested by two independent testing labs. Every supply of paint is tested before it is used, and we "double test" all of our products by checking the raw materials before any product is manufactured and then re-test after they are produced. Testing includes measuring for lead content and other potentially hazardous heavy metals, as well as inspecting for physical and mechanical hazards. In addition, we conduct use-and-abuse tests to ensure that all parts are secure and safe. RIDEMAKERZ products use magnets embedded in the molding of the vehicles that cannot be accessed or loosened, and their sizes are within safe ASTM guidelines. Furthermore, packaging and labels are developed for each product to communicate the appropriate age recommendations and other information required for toys by CPSC.
